Leonidas Pitsoulis has received his Ph.D. from the University of Florida in mathematical optimization algorithms and has held academic positions at Princeton and London School of Economics among others, while he is currently a professor at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. His research interests include among others, mathematical optimization algorithms, graph theory and matroids, complex networks, data science, machine learning and artificial intelligence. He has published numerous research papers and books while he is also a member of the editorial board in four international journals. His industrial experience focuses around the design and implementation of the necessary models and infrastructure to support artificial intelligence systems at scale.
