Minas C. Alexiadis was born in Thessaloniki, Greece, in July 1969. He received the Dipl. Eng. Degree (1994) and the Ph.D. Degree (2003) from the School of Electrical Engineering at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh), Greece. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the same School.
He has been working on Greek or European research projects since the late 90s. His research fields include renewable energy sources and distributed generation, artificial intelligence applications in power systems, electric vehicles, CO2 mitigation, classification of electricity consumers, optimal energy design for freeways and tunnels, smart lighting systems etc. He is also the Faculty Advisor of Aristotle University Racing Team Electric (Aristurtle) which is currently No 41 in the World Ranking List of
