Prof. George A. Rovithakis received the diploma (five years studies) in Electrical Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) in 1990, the M.S. and Ph.D Degrees in Electronic & Computer Engineering both from the Technical University of Crete (TUC) in 1994 and 1995. His doctoral thesis focused on developing robust neuro-adaptive controllers for uncertain nonlinear systems. He was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow of IKY at TUC in 1998 conducting research on “Fault Detection and Control Rehabilitation in Dynamical Systems using Neural Networks”. Currently is a Professor at the Dept. Of Electrical & Computer Engineering of AUTH. He was listed in the top 2% of the researchers in the world according to the impact of his published work (Stanford University). Since 2023 he serves as Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control; elected member of the European Control Association; Chairman of the IEEE Greece Section Control Systems Chapter.
