Nikolaos D. Atreas was born in 1971 in Thessaloniki, Greece. He received a degree in mathemamcs and a Ph.D. degree in mathemamcs, both from the School of Mathemamcs of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), in 1993 and 1999, respecmvely. His doctoral thesis focused on harmonic analysis, with an emphasis on wavelet sampling representamons. He was a scienmfic collaborator or a postdoctoral researcher at the School of Informamcs, AUTH, at the School of Mathemamcs, AUTH and at the University of West Macedonia (UWM) from 2000 to 2007. He has been a member of the teaching and research staff of AUTH since 2007, serving as a lecturer in the School of Informamcs, an Assistant Professor in the School of Mathemamcs, Physics, and Computamonal Sciences (A.U.Th.), and now an Associate Professor at the Department of Telecommunicamons, School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, AUTH.
