Nikolaos V. Kantartzis was born in Kavala in 1971. He received his Diploma and Doctorate Degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the School of Electrical & Computer Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in 1994 and 1999, respectively. His doctoral thesis focused on high-order schemes and perfectly matched layers in curvilinear coordinates, for the solution of complex electromagnetic problems. From 2001 to 2010, he has been with the Applied & Computational Electromagnetics Laboratory of the same department, as a Senior Research Fellow, while from 2003 to 2004, he has been a Post-Doctoral Researcher of the State Scholarship Foundation of Greece and studied 3-D electromagnetic compatibility applications of arbitrary geometry. Since 2010, he has been with the faculty of the department, where he now serves as a Professor. Dr. Nikolaos Kantartzis is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece.
