Dr Pavlidis received the Diploma and Meng degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) from the ECE Department of Democritus University of Thrace in 2000 and 2002, respectively. He was employed in Intracom SA from 2000 to 2002 as an FPGA designer. He also received an MSc and PhD degree from the ECE Dept. of the University of Rochester, Rochester, NY, U.S.A. in 2003 and 2008, respectively. During his PhD research, Dr Pavlidis developed innovative design methodologies for 3D integrated circuits. From 2008 to 2012, he has been a postdoctoral researcher in the ECE Dept of EPFL, Lausanne Switzerland. He joined the Computer Science Dept. of the University of Manchester in 2012 as an Assistant Professor where he was promoted to Associate Professor in 2018. Since 2019, Dr Pavlidis joined the ECE Department of AUTh as an Associate Professor. He is a Senior member of the IEEE.
